Please note, items may be substituted if we run low on one of these items but we carefully track value to make sure everyone gets their value and more over the season.

June 28 - July 1

More Strawberries!  We have a surplus so we are sending you twice as much this week.  Enjoy them bountifully but if you can't use them all, we encourage you to freeze them for smoothies later.

November 16-17 FIRST WINTER BOX!

This is the first box of our winter program.  We have had a great mild fall and have a lot of very nice product both growing in greenhouses and tunnels as well as stored for the winter boxes.

November 3-4 - LAST SUMMER/FALL BOX

This is the last box of our summer/fall program.  It is a really nice high valued box which should keep you stocked until the winter box starts in two weeks.  Veggies at this time of year are generally improved by the cooler temperatures and should store considerably better than in the heat of summer.

October 26-27

Just two more weeks left of the summer box program!  We are coming well on getting everything harvested for winter and plan to start our winter carrot harvest this week.

October 19-20

We had our first major frost last Friday night and it took down the peppers, ground cherries, cherry tomatoes and what was left of the summer squash.  We had harvested ground cherries and cherry tomatoes before the frost so expect to have then for this week but they won't last much longer.  We have some really great fall lettuce and salad mix though so boxes will still be great!

October 12-13

The great fall weather is helping to keep crops going that would otherwise not make it this long.  We have only had a couple light frosts so far in most of our fields.  This week we will have our last peas and/or beans of the season.

October 5-6

This is the week before Thanksgiving so we are sending you veggies with your dinner in mind.  Sweet potatoes are looking great and we have squash and pie pumpkins coming as well.

We are moving into our fall season and starting to put crops into storage.  Crops are looking good and it looks like we will have a generous supply of veggies both to finish this summer/fall season and for our winter box program.

September 14-15

This is our last week of sweet corn for the season.  There is some for everyone but it will be less than before and ears may be a little smaller.  We still have lots of cherry tomatoes and regular tomatoes and we have more celery this week too.  We have a new planting of string beans that look better than the last ones and we are sending leeks for the first time.  Leek potato soup is a definite favorite of ours!

September 7-8

Our last seeding of sweet corn is just starting to be harvested this week.  The seasons are changing from summer to fall but there are still quite a few summer crops holing on.

August 31 - September 1

We have more melons this week (probably the last full week of melons) and we have potatoes again along with carrots and lots of other great veggies.  We have celery coming and cabbage as well.  The celery has a little more taste than what you may be used to.  Will make great seasoning if you don't like to eat it raw and it should store for 2-3 weeks.  We have lots more cherry tomatoes and the beefsteak tomatoes are coming in well too.

August 24-25

This is the final week for our first seeding of sweet corn.  The corn is on the more mature side making it really good for cutting off the cob and eating as a side dish or using for corn chowder etc.  We have more melons this week and lots of other great produce.

August 17-18

More nice sweet corn this week.  Also great broccoli and cauliflower with lots of cukes and other summer veggies.  Boxes will not all be identical, but this is an early Wednesday box.

August 10-11

Sweet Corn this week!  There is another nice full box this week with lots of great produce.  The sweet corn is hydro-cooled to help improve storage life but we recommend you cook and eat it within a couple days for freshest taste.  Summer kale can be a little stronger tasting than winter kale so feel free to put it into the freezer overnight then thaw in the refrigerator to help tenderize and sweeten it.

August 3-4

Boxes are nice and full at this time of the year to make up for the smaller boxes earlier in the season.  I've had a couple comments from people saying they cannot eat all their veggies each week.   Tonight I'm planning to put up another blog post with some ideas for ways to use up your veggies quickly.

July 27-28

This week brings a very nice box with Blueberries and/or Raspberries and string beans and carrots.  Some of the cauliflower is a little bit mature and may have a little damage on it so we are valuing it at a reduced rate but still sending it so that it can be used and not discarded.  We suggest you use it soon.

July 13-14

We have our first carrots and potatoes this week along with cauliflower and broccoli. Chard is still strong but the greens season is winding down and the summer season is gaining momentum.  Lots of the veggies work great in stir fries for fast summer meals.

You can expect the following this week:

Cauliflower and/or Broccoli

Chinese cabbage

Swiss Chard

Salanova Lettuce

Carrots and/or Potatoes (Both in full and either or in the halves)

Peas - a few

Summer Squash or Zucchini or eggplant

July 6-7

Our Strawberry season is now over and we are still waiting for some of the summer items to come in so the box value is a little lower this week.  Don't worry, the lower value will be made up by over value boxes within a few short weeks.
